Warsaw is located in Benton County, Missouri. Warsaw is the county seat of Benton County. Adjacent to the Osage River, Warsaw is heavily tied to two major lakes on the river. The uppermost reaches of Lake of the Ozarks is part of southwest city limits and the Truman Dam and Truman Reservoir are on its northwest side. The Upper Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. The Harry S. Truman Reservoir, also known as Truman Lake, is located between Clinton and Warsaw, on the Osage River and extends south to Osceola. The dam is located in Benton County, but the reservoir also extends into parts of Henry, St. Clair, and Hickory counties. The Harry S. Truman Regional Visitor Center contains exhibits about the cultural and natural history of Truman Lake, environmental activities, the construction of the dam, the operation of the powerhouse, and the US Army Corps of Engineers. A 67-seat theater shows wildlife, history and water safety videos by request. The observation deck offers views of Truman Lake and part of the Lake of the Ozarks, as well as the dam. Wikipedia

Lake of the Ozarks is a reservoir created by impounding the Osage River in the northern part of the Ozarks in central Missouri. Parts of three smaller tributaries to the Osage are included in the impoundment: the Niangua River, Grandglaize Creek, and Gravois Creek. The lake has a surface area of 54,000 acres and 1,150 miles of shoreline. The main channel of the Osage Arm stretches 92 miles from one end to the other. The total drainage area is over 14,000 square miles. The lake's serpentine shape has earned it the nickname "Puff The Magic Dragon", which has in turn inspired the names of local institutions such as The Magic Dragon Street Meet. Wikipedia
